PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizable laminate film or a polarizing plate with excellent material yield, the method capable of drawing a laminate film in which a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer is formed on a base film by coating, while suppressing wrinkle generation or uneven drawing, and having excellent appearance and optical characteristic.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a polarizable laminate film includes: a resin layer formation process of applying a coating slip including a polyvinyl alcohol resin on a base film to obtain a laminate film; a drawing process of vertically and uniaxial drawing the laminate film to obtain a drawn film; and a dyeing process of dyeing the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer of the drawn film by a dichroic dye to obtain a polarizer layer. The drawing process includes two or more stages of drawing processing processes. A ratio of draw magnification in the drawing processing process of a first stage to draw magnification in the drawing processing process of the second stage is 0.5 or more. The total draw magnification of the polarizer layer is five times or more. There is also provided a manufacturing method of a polarizing plate using a polarizable laminate film obtainable by the method. |
