PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-phase rotary electric machine, the capability of which can be prevented from being reduced.SOLUTION: When the number of magnetic poles is defined as P, the number of teeth 16 is defined as T and (n) is a natural number, in the two-phase rotary electric machine, the number P of magnetic poles and the number T of teeth 16 are set to satisfy P:T=4n:4(n+1). The teeth 16 are formed from: a winding body part 61 which extends in a radial direction and around which an armature coil is wound; and a front end part 62 which extends circumferentially from a distal end of the winding body part 61. The teeth 16 are formed in such a manner that a position of a central portion in the circumferential direction of the front end part 62 corresponding to one phase becomes a position opposing the central portion of the magnetic pole in the circumferential direction and that the position of the central portion in the circumferential direction of the front end part 62 corresponding to the other phase becomes a position opposing a gap between two magnetic poles neighboring in the circumferential direction. |
