PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system capable of improving response to the depression of a button as much as possible, even when a command string consisting of multiple commands is transmitted from a remote controller to a luminaire.SOLUTION: In an illumination system, a luminaire receives a first control command instructing that the luminous state of an illumination light source be changed by one step from the current luminous state, and a second control command instructing an operation different from the first control command. A remote controller has transmission control means for controlling transmission means so that when the first control command is to be transmitted repeatedly, each instance of the first control command is transmitted at first transmission intervals which make it possible to visually confirm that a change in the luminous state of the illumination light source is stepwise, and that when the second control command is to be transmitted, each of the unit commands constituting the second control command are transmitted at second transmission intervals which are shorter than the first transmission intervals. |
