<p>A method of determining the state of a disease in a subject has the following steps: obtaining first and second sets of biological samples from subjects known to have first and second states of the disease, each biological sample comprising a plurality of biomarkers, the first and second states being differentiated by a predetermined period of time; for each sample, generating a profile for each state of the disease based on concentrations of biomarkers from a plurality of samples; generating a profile based on a biological sample from a subject having an unknown state of disease; and comparing the profile for the unknown state of disease to the profiles of the first and second states of disease to determine whether the subject has one of the first state of disease or the second state of disease.</p> |
