PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultrasonic transceiver having a higher durability in which a piezoelectric ceramic having a silver electrode is bonded to the bottom of a bottomed cylindrical case, and to obtain an ultrasonic transceiver having a higher strength by increasing the proof stress of a bottomed cylindrical case without changing the material and shape of the bottomed cylindrical case.SOLUTION: Proof stress of a bottomed cylindrical case is increased by forming a work hardened layer on the top surface or the bottom of the bottomed cylindrical case. In order to provide a work hardened layer, the bottomed cylindrical case is subjected to shot-peening or pressing by means of an indenter having a pointed tip. |
