The present invention is a device for avoiding diagnostic collision which includes a diagnosis unit which usually diagnoses a vehicle using a CAN communication; a determining unit which determines whether external tester equipment through the detection of a CAN ID within a predetermined range of the CAN communication; and a control unit which turns off the diagnosis unit when the determining unit determines that the external tester equipment is mounted. The present invention immediately informs a user about the collision to the external tester equipment by using the detection of the CAN ID of a telematics unit and turns off a diagnosis function to prevent the collision. Therefore, a problem of the collision occurred by sharing the CAN ID when mounting the external tester equipment in the past can be fundamentally solved. Furthermore, the present invention provides user convenience and economic efficiency as the problem of the collision can be solved by only the detection of the CAN ID without additional components or changes in components. Additionally, the present invention can provide the stable and reliable result of the external tester equipment to a user as the collision is not occurred. |
