<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene sulfide fiber that simultaneously has an excellent heat adhesion property while having a thermal dimensional stability, and a nonwoven fabric composed of the fibers having a high mechanical strength.SOLUTION: Provided is a fiber composed mainly of polyphenylene sulfide, and when the crystallinity of the fiber surface portion of the region from the fiber surface to the depth of 1μm or less toward the fiber diameter direction is compared with that of the fiber cross section center portion, at least a part of the fiber surface portion has a lower crystallinity than the fiber cross section center portion.</p> |
