PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of an operation for changing a display range in accordance with the posture of an apparatus.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus determines whether the posture of a display unit capable of being held by a user is in a first state or in a second state. When the posture of the display unit is determined to be in the first state, the information processing apparatus sets a display range to be displayed on the display unit within a predetermined area in accordance with the posture of the display unit. When the posture of the display unit is determined to be in the second state, the information processing apparatus sets the display range regardless of the posture of the display unit.
