<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a washing machine for which the motor can be made smaller and lighter and pumping effects can be improved. A washing machine (1) comprises the following: a washing chamber (3) for holding laundry; a pumping channel (18) for drawing up a washing liquid in the washing chamber (3) from the bottom (12) of the washing chamber (3) and returning the same to the inside of the washing chamber (3); a motor (4); a pump blade (5) provided to the bottom (12) of the washing chamber (3); and a rotation blade (6) provided in the washing chamber (3). The pump blade (5) is directly connected to the output shaft (29) of the motor (4), receives the drive force of the motor (4) and is spun at a relatively high speed thereby sending the washing liquid in the washing chamber (3) from the bottom (12) to the pumping channel (18). The rotation blade (6) is connected to the pump blade (5) via a speed reduction mechanism (60), receives the rotational force of the pump blade (5), and is rotated at a relatively low speed thereby agitating the laundry inside of the washing chamber (3).</p> |
