PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rice cooker with a division structure from a power supply unit which can surely detect a locking abnormality, and only a cooking unit of which can be carried conveniently.SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: a cooking unit including a main body 3 which has an opening in an upper face and accommodates an inner pot 28 therein, a lid 2 which covers the opening in the upper face of the main body 3 so that the opening can be opened or closed, a heating section 10 which heats the inner pot 28, and a power receiver which receives power to be supplied to the heating unit 10; a power supply unit 8 including a power supplier which supplies power to the power receiver, and a controller 14 which controls the power supplied from the power supplier; and a locking mechanism 7 which detachably attaches the cooking unit to the power supply unit 8; and an energizing detector 16 which detects electrical connection between the power receiver and the power supplier and outputs a detection signals to the controller 14. In a state where the cooking unit is attached to the power supply unit 8, the power supplier and the power receiver are disposed at the positions opposite to each other, and the controller 14 controls the power supplied from the power supplier to the power receiver on the basis of the detection signal from the energizing detector 16. |
