An adjustable wall hanging mechanism suitable for mounting an object on a vertical surface 1, consists of a fixing member which comprises a body 5 and a head 3, and has an extension at or adjacent to the head in the form of an elongated bar 4 substantially perpendicular to the body, the bar being provided with a cap 6 moveable longitudinally with respect to the bar, such that its movement alters the combined length of the bar and the cap. Using a number of these devices allows the position of a mounted object such as a picture frame 8, resting upon the caps 6, to be adjusted and levelled. The fixing member may comprise a screw, nail or pin. The bar and cap may be threaded, or alternatively smooth but tightly fitting. |
