The glue roller (1) has a cover plate is arranged at the top and bottom openings of the cylindrical case, respectively. The other cover plate is provided with gearing elements for connecting glue roller main portion with a holding fixture of a labeling device. The gearing elements are arranged outwardly facing side of the cover plate. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing glue roller.
