The device has a centering unit (10) for fixing a container (2) during the labeling. The centering unit comprises a centering bell (12) and an engaging unit (14) for form-fit and force-fit engagement at an aperture area (6) of an opening (4) of the container. The centering unit comprises an ejector for removing the container from the centering bell. The ejector comprises a lifting unit that is arranged at an upper machine part by a fixed retaining device (54). The centering bell comprises a seal for sealing the container.
