The module has multiple cuboid battery cells (10) comprising an electrically positive terminal (11) and an electrically negative terminal (12). A bus bar (30) is electrically connected with the battery cells. The bus bar includes a bus bar part and multiple contact tongues protruding from the bus bar part. A separation gap is formed between the neighboring contact tongues, where the contact tongues are connected electrically connected over the bus bar part. The bus bar is made of an extruded semi-finished material i.e. aluminum material. The terminals are designed as perspiration terminals. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a battery module.
