A method for correcting the shaft center of a shaft tube for a ship, which corrects the shaft center of a shaft tube in order to accurately insert a propelling shaft in the shaft center line of the shaft tube composed of a boss that is combined with a hull of a ship; and a bush bearing that performs a rotating motion relative to the propelling shaft in a state of being inserted into the boss. The method for correcting the shaft center of a shaft tube for a ship comprises as follows: a step of checking the shaft center line of a boss by passing a wire into the inside of the boss, and then measuring an eccentric distance from the inner circumferential surface of the boss based on the shaft center line; a step of eccentrically processing the outer circumferential surface of a bush bearing in order to correspond to the eccentric distance from the inner circumferential surface of the boss in the measured shaft center line of the boss; and a step of inserting the eccentrically processed bush bearing into the boss. Therefore, the method for correcting the shaft center of a shaft tube for a ship can perform correction to the shaft center in order to accurately insert the propelling shaft in the shaft center line of the shaft tube, by measuring the eccentric distance from the inner circumferential surface of the boss based on the shaft center line of the boss measured by the wire passing the boss, by eccentrically processing the bush bearing in order to correspond to the measured eccentric distance, and then by installing the bush bearing in the boss.
