METHOD FOR TESTING OPTICAL FIBER ARRAY BLOCK USING IMAGE PROCESSING

A method for testing an optical fiber array block using image processing comprises: a step which optical fibers are aligned on a V-groove substrate, the optical fibers comprise a fiber core and a fiber ribbon, and the V-grove substrate comprises both sides V-grooves which the fiber core is mounted thereon; a step of mounting the fiber core on the both sides V-grooves; a step of covering lead on the fiber core; a step of acquiring a cross section image of the V-groove substrate, the lead, and the fiber core; and a step of processing the cross section image thereby detecting circular edge of the fiber core. According to the present invention, by image acquisition and image processing, reliability of the test increases.
