The device has a reflection element (2) positioned in a normal vision direction (11) for reflecting a partial image from a projection module (1) in the normal vision direction. A color detector e.g. camera, is assigned to the display device, where the color detector generates a detection signal according to which variation of the color of the image from the projection module is provided. The reflection element is an element positioned away from a windscreen (3). An independent claim is also included for a method for displaying an image in a normal vision direction through a reflection element for partially reflecting an image.
