A spinneret, suitable for making conjugate filaments, comprises a block 11 having manifolds 28, 29 which receive spinning compositions from sources 32, 33 respectively, and bores 12, 13 connecting the manifolds 28, 29 with the spinning orifices 22, said bores having threaded member inserts 18, 19 which may be made from bolts, cut to the form shown, the threads at the leg of the T being filled as shown at 30, to prevent mixing of spinning compositions in the manifolds 28, 29. The spinning compositions pass around the threads 23 and merge in the orifices 22 emerging therefrom as conjugate filaments.
