Comb rollers 32 of a dry shaver are each mounted on extensions 29 of a frame plate 25 having inclined slots 26 engaged by pins 47 provided on an actuator 38 which is also provided with pins 39 engaging horizontal slots 42 in a casing wall 18, the actuator, which is urged against the wall 18 by a spring plate 48, having a manually-operable button disposed in a recess 44 in the wall 18, the arrangement being such that the comb roller is moved to its uppermost or lowermost position relative to the cutting edge of the cutter head according as the button is moved to the right or to the left respectively. The plate 25 has ears 27 which engage guide slots 23 in spaced projections 22 provided on casing walls 19 and flanges 28 which overlie aligning ribs 24 provided on wall 18. The casing preferably forms a removable hair pocket. |
