PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the frequency utilization efficiency in a PON system.SOLUTION: In a PON system, an optical multiplex signal obtained by modulating and multiplexing subcarriers different for each user by data for each user is outputted from a station device, and the optical multiplex signal is branched and transmitted to a plurality of subscriber devices each for each user, and the data for each user is demodulated at each subscriber device. The PON system comprises: acquisition means transmitting a testing signal from the station device, and acquiring transmission characteristics related to the respective subcarriers in the plurality of subscriber devices receiving the testing signal; and allocation means allocating one or more subcarriers to the plurality of subscriber devices depending on the transmission characteristics related to the respective subcarriers in the plurality of subscriber devices. |
