PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency heating cooker with higher safety by determining presence/absence of a heating plate and controlling heating.SOLUTION: A high frequency heating cooker includes: a heating chamber illumination 3 which is arranged on a heating chamber 2 side surface to recognize a state in the heating chamber 2 and which lights at the time of heating start; and illumination detection means 5 for detecting the brightness of the heating chamber illumination 3 under a plate 4, which transmits light, for placing a heating plate 1 at a bottom of the heating chamber 2. When illuminance of the heating chamber illumination 3 cannot be detected by the illumination detection means 5 because the heating plate 1 is placed on the plate 4, and also, heating is started by a user selecting high frequency heating means 9, the high frequency heating cooker stops heating, and it displays at display means 6 that the heating plate 1 is used even when the high frequency heating means 9 is set. Thereby, even when the metal heating plate dedicated to heater heating is mistakenly used at the time of high frequency heating and cooking, heating is stopped immediately, and erroneous usage can be notified to the user, so that usability and safety can be improved. |
