The present invention is an instrument (1) for the quantitative determination of a biosubstance (ATP) originating in cells which are contained in a liquid sample (8a) to be analyzed. This instrument is characterized by being provided with a control unit (34) where the quantity of a biosubstance (ATP) originating in cells which are contained in the liquid sample (8a) is calculated on the basis of a difference between the amount of luminescence as observed in a case wherein an ATP-luminescent reagent (8b) as a bioluminescent reagent is reacted with the biosubstance which has been separated and extracted from the cells by bringing the liquid sample (8a) into contact with an ATP-extracting reagent (8c) as a treatment reagent and that as observed in a case wherein the ATP-luminescent reagent (8b) is reacted with the ATP-extracting reagent (8c). |
