COLD WATER BAFFLE FOR A STORAGE WATER HEATER

The object of the present patent is a baffle (1) for the cold water inlet of the tank (S) of a storage water heater. The baffle (1) includes: - an insert (5) of composite material, fitted on the upper end of the cold water inlet tube (6), - a helical spring (2) comprising free intermediate coils (2.2) which define openings between one coil and the other, - a cap (4) set to close the top of said spring (2). The inlet flow of cold water flows through the stretch of insert (5) and continues vertically in the inner space (3) of the spring (2), up to the top of the same, where it finds the path obstructed by the cap (4), thus returning back and entering into the reservoir (S) through the radial openings formed between the free intermediate coils (2.2) of the spring (2).
