PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tread capable of providing a pneumatic tire having a low fuel cost, on snow and ice performance and abrasion resistance equivalent to pneumatic tires using a conventional synthetic rubber while responding to requests by a recycling-oriented society.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a rubber composition for a tread containing a biomass-derived rubber obtained by polymerizing a monomer component derived from biomass and having pMC (percent Modern Carbon) measured according to ASTMD6866-10 of 1% or more and a glass transformation temperature (Tg) of -120 to -60°C, and the monomer component is selected from at least one of a group consisting of butadiene, myrcene, ocimene and cosmene. |
