PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of marking a binding band which prevents effectively detachment of the base coat by suppressing effects of a rust preventive oil applied to the surface of a binding band made of a steel sheet and thereby improving the adhesion of the base coat to the surface of the binding band and also prevents deterioration of visibility of prints.SOLUTION: A method of marking a binding band 2 made of a steel sheet and binding an object 3 to be bound comprises a printing position drying step, step S1, of drying printing positions on the surface of the binding band 2, a base coat application step, step S2, of applying a base coating to the printing positions dried by the printing position drying step, a base coat drying step, step S3, of drying the base coat applied by the base coat application step and a printing step, step S4, of carrying out laser marking to the base coat dried by the base coat drying process. |
