An endless track for a motor vehicle comprises a plurality of interengaging chain links 1, Fit. 2, each provided with a recess 3 embracing one end of a guide spur 4, and releasable means, such as a splined pin to secure the spur. In Fig. 3 the spur 9 is secured by a steel plate 12 bolted at 13 to the link and vulcanized to a rubber tread 11 while in Fig. 7 the lower end of the spur is of dovetail shape and is secured in a groove 17 by a flat key 19. In a further construction, the spur makes a tight fit with a hole in the link and is additionally secured by releasable spot welding. Specification 576,417 is referred to. |
