PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw cutting apparatus capable of keeping the cutting depth constant even when the rotation speed of the main shaft is changed.SOLUTION: A screw cutting apparatus cuts a screw by rotation of the main shaft and movement of a feed shaft and is provided with a main shaft operation part 11 which calculates and outputs a rotation speed of the main shaft for each screw cutting path on the basis of a main shaft rotation speed command and an acceleration/deceleration time operation part 7 which calculates and outputs an acceleration/deceleration time of the feed shaft for each screw cutting path so that the product of the acceleration/deceleration time of the feed shaft by the rotation speed of the main shaft is constant throughout all screw cutting paths. |
