PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric element in which variation in the adhesion force of a resin applied to the side face of a piezoelectric is suppressed between elements.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 40 includes a piezoelectric 43 having a pair of principal surfaces (upper surface 43a and lower surface 43b) facing each other, and side faces 43c, 43d, 43e, 43f extending to connect the pair of principal surfaces, and a resin 44 covering the side face of the piezoelectric 43. Since the side face of the piezoelectric 43 covered with the resin 44 is a smooth surface having an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of 0.02-1.0 μm, reduction in adhesion due to a noncontact region or residue in a concave part is less likely to occur, and resin adhesion force of the expected value is obtained. As a result, variation of adhesion force between the elements is suppressed effectively in the piezoelectric element 40. |
