PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction system capable of sucking viscous substance without disturbing ventilation by an artificial respirator.SOLUTION: A suction system 3 used in combination with an artificial respirator for sucking viscous substance in the trachea includes: a suction line (a catheter 31 and a suction line 32) provided in the trachea; a suction device (a pump 35) for sucking the viscous substance via the suction line; an air supply line (the catheter 31 and an air supply line 36) provided in the trachea; and an air supply device (the pump 35) sending air having substantially same quantity of that of air sucked by the suction device into the trachea via the air supply line. |
