PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical reception circuit that implements low loss optical communication coping with a band variation in a small scale circuit.SOLUTION: An optical transceiver 1 includes: a PD 6 for generating a current signal Idepending on an input optical signal O; a transimpedance amplifier 7 for converting the current signal Ito a voltage signal V; a delay circuit 8 connected to a branching output of the transimpedance amplifier 7 to delay the voltage signal Vfor a predetermined period; an amplifier 10 for amplifying or attenuating a voltage signal Voutput from the delay circuit 8; an edge detection circuit 9 connected to a branching output of the transimpedance amplifier 7 to output a detection signal Ton detecting an edge of the voltage signal V; and a control circuit 11 for receiving the detection signal Tfrom the edge detection circuit 9, and switching the amplifier 10 between the actions of amplifying and attenuating the voltage signal Vin response to the detection signal T.
