PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method capable of highly accurately executing quality control of a casting.SOLUTION: The quality control method of the casting on the present invention comprises a temperature rise acquiring process (S1) of acquiring a temperature rise &Dgr;T(t) of cooling water when passing through a water communication passage 17 of the cooling water provided in a metal mold 13, a deprived calorific value calculating process (S2) of calculating a deprived calorific value H deprived by the cooling water via the metal mold 13 on molten metal ejected in the metal mold 13 during a one-time casting cycle, by using the temperature rise &Dgr;T(t) acquired by the temperature acquiring process (S1) and a flow rate Q(t) of the cooling water passing through the water communication passage 17 and a quality control process (S3) of executing the quality control of the casting on the basis of the deprived calorific value H calculated by the deprived calorific value calculating process (S2). |
