The vehicle transmission has two hydrodynamic elements, where the first hydrodynamic element is used for braking as a retarder (28) and another hydrodynamic element is used as a starting element (34). The both hydrodynamic elements have additional spur gears, which are not identical. The spur gear of the starting element serves higher reduction ratio than that of the spur gear of the retarder.
