PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction for introducing a difluoromethyl group useful as a synthetic intermediate of pharmaceutical agricultural chemicals.SOLUTION: A carbonyl compound and a malononitrile derivative are reacted with phenyl(2,3,4,5-tetramethylphenyl)bromo difluoromethylthiophenium tetrafluoroborate or phenyl(2,3,4,5-tetramethylphenyl)bromo difluoromethylthiophenium trifluoromethane sulfonate in the presence of a base to obtain a difluoromethyl group-containing compound represented by the formula (3), where R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group, a straight, branched or cyclic alkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms and the like, R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or an ethyl group, R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group, an n-propyl group, an iso-propyl group and the like, A represents an oxygen atom or a malononitrile group, and not all R1, R2 and R3 are a hydrogen atom. |
