The thrust element has a contact surface (24) which is formed on first side of a main portion for partially enclosing first element (16) of a pressing device (14). A through hole (52) accessible from second side (34) of the main portion is formed in a region of the contact surface. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) the pressing device used for pressing one element to other element for steering of motor vehicle; and (2) a method for checking connection between thrust element and sliding element.
