PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving quality deterioration of a projection image caused by deviation of an index signal, with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: When synchronization correction processing starts, white light is projected on a color wheel (S10), and an optical modulation element control unit turns on the optical modulation element only during a BLUE period with an index signal being a reference (S12). Then, luminance measurement of an output image projected from a projector is started (S14). The luminance is measured during a timing period of the BLUE signal of a design position of an index value, and two timings before and after that (S16), and the timing period with the lowest luminance (an index value) is extracted (S18). When the extracted index value is converged at an optimum value (Y of S20), deviation between the timing period corresponding to the extracted index value and the period of the BLUE signal which becomes the reference is calculated (S22). The calculated deviation amount is reflected on the synchronization processing (S24). |
