Sheet observation system for rotary printing press

The web inspection system has a camera (14) that is provided along the transverse direction of a printing press web (10) and is connected to a control device (16). The control device is provided to synchronize the movement of camera with movement of web. A spectrometer (22) is attached at the outer side of the camera. A lens (24) of the spectrometer is arranged in such a way that the analysis spots of web lie outside or inside of the field of view of the camera.
