PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-operation type fire extinguishing system competent for fire fighting activities even if a wire connecting the pressure supervision switch for detecting pressure lowering at the secondary side of the system should be disconnected. SOLUTION: In a pre-operation type fire extinguishing system where a pre-operation water flow detector 6' has a closed type sprinkler head 3 at its secondary side, this system includes a first wire disconnection detection circuit 23b to detect the disconnection of connection wire L1 of a fire sensor 20 and issue a first disconnection detection signal S2, and a second disconnection detection circuit 25b to detect the disconnection of connection wire L2 of a secondary-side lowered pressure supervision switch PS3 and issue a second disconnection detection signal S4. Either if a lowered pressure detection signal S3 is detected in the situation while the first disconnection detection signal S2 is detected, or if a fire sensing signal S1 is detected while the second disconnection detection signal S4 is detected, the pre-operation type water flow detector 6' opens the main valve to supply fire extinguishing water from a water reservoir 27 to the sprinkler head 3 through the main valve.
