In the present invention, there is disclosed a measuring current transformer having its secondary winding terminals connected to a ballast resistance comprised of a shunt (3). The first terminal (3.1) of the shunt (3) is series connected to a second terminal (2.2) of a synthetic negative resistor (2) while the second terminal (3.2) thereof is connected to the second terminal (1.4) of the measuring current transformer (1) secondary winding (Li2). The first terminal (2.1) of the synthetic negative resistor (2) is connected to the first terminal (1.3) of the measuring current transformer (1) secondary winding (Li2). The resistance (Rineg) of the synthetic negative resistor (2) is given by the relationship Rineg > = – (RiCu2 + Ris), wherein (RiCu2) is the resistance of the secondary winding (Li2) and (Ris) is the resistance of the shunt (3). The synthetic negative resistor (2) is provided with a first feeder ear (2.4) and a second feeder ear (2.5) for connection of a power supply unit.
