The stem (3) has a proximal outer wall (7ep) and anterior and posterior walls (7a-p) of a metaphyseal part (7) connected to a diaphyseal part (8) by a convexly curved wall (7c) forming a round outer bump (10). An outer surface of the diaphyseal part has a concave curved shape whose radius of curvature is increasing towards a distal end of the diaphyseal part so that the stem has an outer edge in shape of S stretched at the diaphyseal part when viewed laterally along a front side or a backside. A inflection of the diaphyseal part is located below the round outer bump.
