PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel-cadmium storage battery whose discharge characteristics at a low temperature, for instance at -30°C, are significantly improved.SOLUTION: A negative electrode containing a stainless steel powder for an active material mixture and KOH aqueous solution having specific gravity of 1.43 or over for an electrolyte are used. The stainless steel powder is preferably of a spherical shape obtained by an atomization method. Furthermore, the stainless steel powder is preferably composed of SUS316 L. |
