Method for the extraction of a bioproduct selected from the group comprising polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), PHA hydrolysate, and any mixture thereof, obtained by fermentation of a prey producer bacterium, said extraction method being characterized in that it comprises mixing the prey producer bacterium containing the bioproduct within it with a predator bacterium in a medium comprising a source of Ca and Mg. Preferably, the predator bacterium is Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus HD100 and the prey producer bacterium is Pseudomonas putida KT2440 or Cupriavidus necator H16. In addition, a description is given likewise of a method for producing the bioproduct comprising the extraction by means of the method of the invention.
