PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for limiting Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) reporting from a user terminal to a network node.SOLUTION: The user terminal transmits a limited CQI reports to a network node according to a predefined trigger rule when the user terminal operates in a low operation mode. The network node generates the trigger rule and transmits it to the user terminal. When receiving the trigger rule (201), the user terminal updates and stores the trigger rule (202). The user terminal determines whether the user terminal is in the low operation mode or not (203). When the user terminal is in the low operation mode, the user terminal determines whether the CQI reports need to be transmitted or not according to the stored trigger rule (204). When the CQI reports do not need to be transmitted, the user terminal generates a CQI report (205) and transmits it (206). |
