PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery excellent in output characteristics.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery comprises: an electrode group including a positive electrode and a negative electrode disposed through a separator; and a nonaqueous electrolyte. In the nonaqueous electrolyte battery, the negative electrode comprises: a collector; and a negative electrode active material containing layer containing a lithium compound held by the collector as active material. In the nonaqueous electrolyte battery, the negative electrode provides peaks in a range of 0.8 to 6 μm and a range of 0.04 to 0.15 μm respectively in a curve which represents the relationship between a pore diameter and increased pore volume obtained by a mercury intrusion technique.
