The writing instrument (1) has an instrument main portion which is provided with a penetration element and a ring (2) that are connected with a lockable connector movably. The lockable connector is freely positioned, and is arranged with along the central axis corresponding to the longitudinal axis of the writing instrument main portion. The ring is fastened as a separate element to the writing instrument main portion. A magnet (5) and ferrous metal portion are arranged on the ring corresponding to the position of the ring on instrument main portion.
