PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for synthesizing a metal phosphate material which has an enhanced conductivity for lithium ions; such materials; and an electrode and other devices made from such materials.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for synthesizing a material including the following steps: (1) a step of providing a starting mixture including lithium, metal, a phosphate ion and an additive, the additive enhancing the transport of lithium ions in a material prepared by the method, as compared to a material prepared in the absence of the additive; and (2) a step of heating the mixture in a reducing environment to produce the material containing LiMPO(where M represents the metal, and x is 1.05 or less). |
