PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle air conditioner that can suppress increase in the size of or complication of an outdoor air blower and cost increase and can secure necessary air quantity even by a relatively small and light air blower by reducing blowing-out resistance of exhaust air due to traveling wind during traveling of a vehicle at high speed.SOLUTION: A vehicle air conditioner includes an outdoor unit 4 at least having a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger and an outdoor air blower. The outdoor unit 4 includes: a suction port 7 for taking in outside air; and an exhaust port 8. Heat is exchanged between the outside air taken in from the suction port 7 and a refrigerant flowing in the outdoor heat exchanger, and the outside air which has undergone heat exchange by the outdoor heat exchanger is exhausted from the exhaust port 8. The outdoor unit 4 is installed in a vehicle together with indoor units 5, 6, and has recesses 9, 10 arranged at both ends of the exhaust port 8 in the vehicle traveling direction around the exhaust port 8 on the outer surface of the vehicle. |
