<p>A pharmaceutical polymer and a method for quenching free radicals is described. The pharmaceutical polymer comprises a glycopeptide covalently bound to an aminothiol moiety. The pharmaceutical polymer and method can be applied before or after the occurrence of radiation exposure.</p>
