<p>At least one color patch (38), which is extracted as a candidate patch from within a color chart (36c, 36cA, 36cB), is colorimetrically measured and a color value is acquired. Based on a color value of a designated color to be reproduced on a print (36) and a color value of the candidate patch, a corresponding position on the color chart (36c, 36cA, 36cB) responsive to the color value of the designated color is calculated. Instruction mark images (620, 642, 644, 648) indicative of the calculated corresponding position are displayed respectively, together with a simulating image (252), in which a layout of multiple color patches (38) on the color chart (36c, 36cA, 36cB) is simulated.
