A fixing system for mounting photovoltaic solar cells or solar thermal panels to a roof 1 or other structure, the system comprising a module 3 provided with a feature which allows a solar cell or panel to be fixed thereto, by a proprietary bolt or the like; and an adhesive to couple the module to the roof. The fixing system is intended to be non-invasive, wherein the system does not penetrate or effect changes on the existing roof or structure. The adhesive is preferably an expanding foam, the modules 3 more preferably comprise a cavity for containing said expanding foam. The module 3 is also preferably provided with a compressible sealing material to take the shape of the roof surface 1. |
