An air curtain system and a method for vehicle are disclosed. The air curtain system comprises several components: an air jetting part; an air compressor supplying air compressed at a predetermined pressure to the air jetting part in order to jet the air to the outside of the vehicle; a sensor unit including a snow and rain amount sensor generating a snow and rain amount sensing signal, and an opening and closing sensor generating a sensing signal for opening and closing the door of the vehicle; and a part controlling the air compressor to supply the air compressed at a predetermined pressure to correspond to the snow and rain amount detected by the snow and rain amount sensing signal when the opening of the door of the vehicle is recognized by an opening and closing sensing signal.
